All in all I think we've had a pretty reasonable season. There have been one or two games we lost where maybe we should have had more success and the odd game where we've scraped a win somehow or another, so a bit like swings and roundabouts I suppose.
I think every player has played their part at some strage throughout the campaign, so you should all feel pretty pleased with your efforts.
The one thing that has disturbed me somewhat is the lack of discipline shown at times - I feel one or two of you have let yourself down by not being able to control your emotions, something we will need to work on next season.
I hope you all enjoyed the year and will be ready to go when next season's fixtures are released.
Until then, training will continue until the end of May and then we'll have a long break, apart frpom Spartan's Day of course (20 June 2010).
Thanks again for all your efforts team.
Thanks also to Ricky for his assistance, Mike Orbell for his sponsorship and the great support we've received from the parents,
This team started in the 2003-2004 season and the first season was one of mixed fortunes. We won eight matches, lost eight and drew two.
Four players have remained with the team from that first match right through to today: Ben Martin; Joe Tiplady; Matt Ladell & Will Cooper. Matt is the club captain for the season 2009-2010.
In the 2004-2005 season Haden Firlej joined the team, new mini league rules were introduced at this stage which asked clubs not to report on results.
During the 2005-2006 season Jamie Dorling and Tom MacGinley joined our squad and Ricky Dorling became assistant manager.
2006-2007 saw John Orbell and Jake Newton join our ranks.
In the 2007-2008 season the club progressed to Colt's league football, results could once again be recorded. Our first season was not the best season we'd ever had but as the year progressed our confidence grew. New to the team were Dan McClure; Adam Cates; Chris Murray and Jools Herod. We finished the season second from bottom of the league.
In 2008-2009 Josh Fretwell; Aaron Lazar; Jack Pinnington and Harry Sorensen enrolled with the team after a shaky start to the season the team went on a run where they won six games out of seven and a new confidence was born. The team finished mid-table but the signs were there that thiongs were on the up.
We are almost half way through the 2009-2010 season and after seven games we've won four and lost three, we are fourth in the league and remain unbeaten at home. New players this term include Seb Wayman and Reece Claydon, which takes our squad size up to 19.
With that amount of players registered we must be doing something right!
